Confirm the itinerary you are buying

Ask the operator or AWT to confirm the exact Baratang boarding point, reporting deadline and whether baggage can be accepted there. An advertised stop may be part of a packaged excursion rather than a public intermediate boarding service.

Allow time to reach the verified boarding point after any Baratang sightseeing. Do not use the short vehicle-ferry terminal or a cave-excursion boat point as a substitute without written instructions. If the sector is unavailable, review a Port Blair overnight and onward Havelock departure.

Sea itinerary versus Middle Strait crossing

The Middle Strait–Baratang vehicle-ferry link listed by DSS is part of a road journey. It is not a high-speed sea transfer from Port Blair to Havelock. Confirm the meeting point, transport mode and ticket issuer so the two products are not confused.

A road trip can involve separate access and timing requirements. Ask AWT to review the complete land itinerary and current official instructions instead of combining unrelated departure estimates.

Before payment, obtain the dated itinerary, all boarding points, intermediate activities, baggage arrangement, cancellation terms and final amount. Confirm the fallback if weather or operational conditions change.

For a through trip to Havelock, notify the hotel of the confirmed arrival. For a Baratang-only trip, confirm the return or onward land transfer; do not assume the same ferry can take you back that evening.

Can I join any Port Blair–Baratang–Havelock itinerary at Baratang?

Only if the operator confirms intermediate boarding and issues the appropriate ticket. The existence of a stop alone does not establish that right.
