A taxi is recommended; a two-wheeler is not recommended for this long journey. Arrive by your boat’s reporting time and carry the original valid ID used for booking.
  • Plastic-free visit: Bring water in a non-plastic reusable bottle and use a cloth or jute bag. Do not bring disposable plastic bottles, plastic carry bags or plastic-wrapped items.
  • Counter facilities: The Forest Department counter at Wandoor provides glass water bottles and jute bags against a refundable deposit. If you do not have a non-plastic bottle or bag, collect them before boarding. Return the borrowed items after your trip to receive your full deposit back.

Frequently asked questions

Jolly Buoy & Red Skin booking questions

Answers about passengers, fares, travel dates and planning your day.

Which fare applies to a child turning two?

Age is counted on the travel date, rather than the date you make the booking. A child travelling on their second birthday pays the full fare.

Why can two passengers have different booking totals?

Boat fare depends on the boat, class and travel date. The separate Forest Permit fee depends on nationality, and selected paid add-ons also affect the total. Choose nationality and any extras in Passenger details to see the breakdown before review.

Can I select a date with no operating island?

You can search, but no sailing will be offered unless that date belongs to a confirmed opening period and is not closed. Contact AWT for help choosing another date.

Can my group plan another major trip on the same day?

Allow for the road journey, boarding checks, island visit and return sailing. Contact AWT before combining this trip with a time-sensitive onward connection.
