Tour Schedule |
Day 1:Arrival at Port Blair Airport & move to the hotel with our envoy. After lunch start the breathtaking trip to Corbyn’s Cove Beach, one of the most picturesque, coconut palm fringed beach, 7 kms away from Port Blair town and then proceed for the panoramic view of Port Blair Harbour through a steamer in a Harbour Cruise which includes a trip to tiny, serene, beautiful island called “VIPER ISLAND” where the gallows is a sight to watch. |
Day 2: The voyage begins with a mesmerizing scrutiny in a boat to see under- water marine life and rarest varieties of corals by glass bottom boat and snorkeling in the North Bay. After lunch, proceed to Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime. The island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner’s House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. and all in dilapidated condition |
Day 3: The day’s program begins with the sightseeing tour in and around the city like Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika) - gives a good retrospect of the history, shells, Corals marine life, geography and archaeology of these islands, Mini zoo - houses some of the rare species of endemic birds and animals found in these islands, Chatham Saw Mill - one of the oldest and largest wood mill in Asia, Forest museum - offers an insight into forest activities through scale models and displays decorative pieces made of famous woods, Anthropological Museum - displays tribal essential and artifacts. After lunch proceed for Fisheries Museum (Aquarium) - exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands, and then to the Cellular Jail- a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people. One can also view the history of the heroic freedom struggle which is brought alive in a moving Light & Sound Show at the Cellular Jail. Wind up with shopping at Sagarika or in the local market of the city. |
Day 4: Proceed to Mount Harriet (365 mts from sea level), the second highest point in Andaman Islands, offers a magnificent bird’s eye view of Port Blair’s adjoining islands and an ideal place for a photography or a trekking. After lunch move to Chidiyatapu – famous for lush green mangroves, forest cover with numerous chirping birds and Sandy beach (Known as the Sunset Point). |
Day 5: The most awaited outing to Havelock Island (Govt. ferry) which offers beautiful sandy beaches and lush green forest. View Radhanagar Beach (Beach No.7), Asia’s 7th most beautiful sea beach. Snorkeling & scuba diving facilities are provided in many beaches like Elephant beach (travelled by engine dingy) etc. Over night stay at Havelock Island. |
Day 6: Return back from Havelock in the afternoon. Reach Port Blair and over night stay at Port Blair. |
Day 7: Proceed early morning to Baratang Island. The Island is reached after crossing the grand ANDAMAN TRUNK ROAD covered with dense forests. During the road journey, one of the famed tribes, ‘THE JARAWAS’ can be seen. Boat journey is to limestone cave and then a short trip to Mud volcano. Move to Mayabunder via Rangat and over night stay there. |
Day 8: Travel around the Mayabunder and proceed to view the beach at Avis Island (separate small Island travelled by local engine dingy). After lunch move ahead to Diglipur for over night stay. |
Day 9: Early morning travel from Diglipur by engine dingy to visit Ross & Smith, the twin Islands joined by a bewitching sand bar |
Day 10: Early morning start out from Diglipur and over night stay at Port Blair.
