Planning your havelock Island Jetty

Havelock’s main passenger jetty near Govind Nagar serves inter-island arrivals and departures. Havelock may be labelled Swaraj Dweep on a ticket. Confirm the passenger terminal and vessel rather than confusing an inter-island crossing with an Elephant Beach excursion.

Arriving on Havelock

Arrange a pickup using your vessel name and scheduled arrival. Wait for disembarkation instructions, collect your bags and use the meeting point agreed with the driver. Your hotel may be well away from the jetty, so confirm a transfer rather than assuming a short walk.

Keep the first activity flexible. The ferry docking time is not the time you will be ready at a hotel or dive centre. Include luggage, road travel and check-in when planning the afternoon.

Leaving for Neil or Port Blair

Check your direction carefully: a Neil Island ticket and a Port Blair ticket are different sectors. Arrange hotel checkout and pickup around the reporting time. If leaving luggage at reception while sightseeing, allow time to collect it before the drive.

Keep the current ticket accessible even if a multi-sector booking contains several PDFs. Verify the date, traveller names, operator and departure before entering the boarding queue.

Terminal preparation

Carry accepted ID, ticket and essential hand baggage. Follow the crew’s instructions during loading and boarding. Ask in advance about help for stairs or gangways if an older traveller, child or passenger with reduced mobility needs support.

Check local facilities and any porter or parking charges at the time of travel. Do not plan around a guarantee of luggage storage, unrestricted companion entry or all-day terminal access.

Can I use an Elephant Beach boat ticket for an inter-island ferry?

No. It is a different service and ticket. Check the main passenger ferry booking for Neil or Port Blair separately from a sightseeing excursion.
