Planning your haddo Jetty, Port Blair

Haddo is the usual private-ferry boarding point in Port Blair for the Havelock and Neil circuit. Your ticket’s terminal and reporting instructions are the final reference. Do not ask a driver for only “the jetty”: Port Blair has several terminals serving different journeys.

Airport or hotel to Haddo

Arrange a road transfer to the passenger terminal specified on your ticket. Makruzz’s published FAQ gives an approximate 15–20-minute airport-to-Haddo drive; that estimate excludes arrival formalities, collecting baggage, finding the driver and ferry check-in.

Choose a pickup time by working backwards from reporting, not departure. If arriving in Port Blair the same day, share your arrival time and baggage requirements with AWT before choosing a ferry. A short drive does not make every same-day connection safe.

Reporting and terminal entry

Private-ferry planning commonly allows reporting about an hour before departure, but follow the exact deadline on your ticket. Keep every traveller’s ticket and accepted photo ID ready. Port entry checks and the walk to boarding require time.

Do not use a general attraction-style opening time as a ferry timetable. Early sailings and sailing-specific terminal arrangements must be checked with the operator. Port access is controlled; a visitor accompanying a passenger should not assume entry is permitted.

Luggage, waiting and assistance

Keep essential medicines, documents and valuables in a manageable hand bag. Check the baggage allowance with the operator rather than treating a jetty guide as a baggage policy. Label bags and allow time to reclaim them at the destination.

Ask about current toilets, seating and wheelchair assistance if they affect your travel. Do not assume a step-free route from vehicle to cabin: terminal paths, gangways and vessel decks can differ. Agree the assistance before arriving.

Returning to Haddo

Give your driver the vessel, scheduled arrival and the meeting point confirmed for the terminal. Allow time after docking for passengers and luggage to come ashore. A driver at Phoenix Bay or Aberdeen cannot provide an immediate Haddo pickup.

Confirm transfer fare and waiting arrangements in advance. Parking, porter services or any access charge should be checked locally; this guide does not quote unverified fixed jetty fees.

Is Haddo the same as Phoenix Bay jetty?

No. They are different terminals. Give your driver the boarding location stated on the issued ticket, not just the island destination.
