Planning your wandoor Jetty

Wandoor is a departure area for marine-park boat visits, rather than the regular private-ferry terminal for Havelock or Neil. The South Andaman district’s visitor information identifies boats from Wandoor jetty for the Marine National Park. Confirm which destination is open for your date.

Check the open destination and permissions

Do not assume Jolly Buoy and Red Skin are both open or served on your chosen day. Ask the authorised organising team to confirm the destination, boat, permit requirements and any closure before you travel to Wandoor.

Check exactly what the quotation includes: transport to Wandoor, boat transfer, entry or permit charges, and optional activities. A ferry-only or boat-only headline price may exclude land transport.

Plan the road journey from Port Blair

Arrange a vehicle to the meeting point specified by the boat operator. The road transfer to Wandoor is separate from a Haddo or Aberdeen departure. Work backwards from the reporting time and allow for check-in.

Confirm return pickup and a contact method before boarding. Avoid a tight same-day inter-island connection after a marine-park visit unless both timings and the road transfer have been reviewed.

Prepare for a regulated marine-park visit

Follow the current park and crew instructions on baggage, food, plastics, waste and permitted activities. Do not touch or collect coral or disturb marine life. Ask about the latest restrictions rather than relying on an old trip report.

Questions before you travel

Can I use Wandoor to board a Makruzz ferry to Havelock?

Use the terminal on your Makruzz ticket, normally Haddo for that private island journey. Wandoor marine-park boats are a different service.
