Arrive with a pickup arranged
Send the hotel or driver your ferry details and agreed meeting point. Allow for luggage unloading before scheduling a tour. Keep a contact number available without relying entirely on mobile data at the moment of arrival.
Confirm whether the transfer is included in your land package. A ferry ticket on its own does not promise a hotel vehicle, porter service or sightseeing.
Return to Port Blair with a buffer
Choose a departure that fits hotel checkout and terminal reporting. The mainland departure plan should include the sea crossing, luggage at Haddo and road transfer afterward. Consider returning to Port Blair the previous day when the onward timing is inflexible.
If a sailing changes, contact the issuing team before moving other reservations. A weather disruption can affect several operators, so an alternative brand should not be assumed to guarantee the original timing.
Check Neil-to-Havelock independently
The Havelock-to-Neil schedule is not proof of a reverse departure. Search the exact direction and date. If a connection through Port Blair is suggested, review both tickets and reporting deadlines before accepting.
Tell the Havelock hotel the confirmed arrival, especially if the plan changes from direct to connecting. Do not keep a same-day activity reservation based on the opposite route’s travel time.
Prepare documents and luggage
Keep the ticket and accepted identity document ready for each traveller. Confirm baggage allowance with the operator, and keep medicines and valuables with you.
Ask about assistance before travel if boarding steps or carrying luggage will be difficult. Verify current terminal facilities and charges locally rather than relying on a fixed entry-fee claim.
